"My life Your life Our lives" was first published in April 2008. It is 10 cm (4") wide by 14.7 cm
(5.8") long, and approximately 8 mm (5/16") thick. It easily fits into
a purse or even a back pocket. It contains 39 pieces of prose over 128 pages.
What follows is the Introduction to this book:
Welcome to “My life, Your life, Our lives”. Thank you for choosing
this book.
As with my first book “A nod and a smile”, the theme behind each
piece of writing, is to stimulate your thoughts and ideas. My wish
is to give the reader hope for the future. Each piece discusses a
subject to a varying degree, and always ends on a positive note.
What is the purpose of this book?
It is hoped that this book will educate, encourage, enlighten, and
explain some thoughts on life. It may help you who are feeling down.
It might even make you cry. Some of the poems you may skip, while
others, you may read many times. In reality, you, as the reader,
will decide what is best for you.
When I wrote “A nod and a smile”, I was not sure what would happen.
As time passed, I found that many people gained value from it.
A simple test quickly became clear. It was, “Open the book to any
poem and read what is there. You will know if the book is for you.”
It is believed that you can also apply the same test to this book.
The decision is up to you. So turn the page, and read on, or if you
want a little mystery, close the book, and open it again to any poem
and read what is there …..
Whatever you choose, I wish you the very best for the future. With
that in mind, I invite you to read “My life, Your life, Our lives”.
